Q: What's the median of 2, 3, 4, 8, 8, 9?

  1. 3
  2. 4
  3. 6
  4. 7
  5. 8

UNANSWERED.

The correct answer is C.

A: 6 is the right answer. Median means the number in the middle. Or if there are 2 numbers in the middle, take the average of the 2 numbers. Start crossing of the numbers at each end of the list, then repeat. 2 and 9 are first the be eliminated, then 3 and 8, and then 4 and 8 are left in the middle. The average of 4 and 8 is 4+8/2 = 12/2 = 6.
