"Most men would feel insulted if it were proposed to employ them in throwing stones over a wall, and then in throwing them back, merely that they might earn their wages. But many are no more worthily employed now."

President Obama Delivers Inspirational Speech to Schoolchildren

September 8, 2009

U.S. President Barack Obama speaks of the opportunity of education - that we have the chance to discover what we are good at by trying out different classes and extracurriculars. The knowledge and problem-solving skills developed at school strengthen us, so that we can make our best contribution to the world. Of course, it takes practice, practice, and more practice to become skillful. We must overcome obstacles, even insidious boredom, along the way. President Obama says "The story of America isn't about people who quit when things got tough. It's about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved their country too much to do anything less than their best."
